change…

We’ve got some exciting new changes for Bella Designs Studio!  And the first change is our new website!  Our new website is a hybrid of a blog and website; I am so blessed to be married to such a talented man!  So all blog posts will be posted here from now on; as well as old posts (I am migrating them all over)!  So be sure to change your blog reader, bookmarks, etc to reflect this exciting new website!

Next, is our new logo!  I was very happy with my first logo, but I felt it was time for a change…I wanted something with meaning, better readability, as well as a way to integrate my logo into the watermarking for my images.  Now before you ask; why the Fleur-de-Lis?  Are you French?  Do you love the New Orleans Saints?  Let me explain.  The Fleur-de-Lis is a symbol for many things; but the interpretation I like the most is the representation of faith, wisdom and chivalry.  Without faith, Steven and I would have never taken the first step into starting Bella Designs Studio.  If it weren’t for the wisdom that we have from the many years combined of experience we would have nothing to set us a part from our competition.  And I like to see the definition of chivalry as honor; it is an absolute honor to be chosen by my client’s to do such an important job for them…capturing glimpses of memories for them to have and to hold forever.  So here it is; simple and to the point…

david & brittany : october 24, 2009

I have been real blessed this past month.  I have had the opportunity to photograph weddings of some very close and special family members.  This past weekend we traveled up to St. Louis to photograph the wedding of David and Brittany.  I have known David his entire life; our parents are best friends and we all grew up together.  Brittany is not only a perfect match for David, but a perfect match for the entire Moore family.  It is truly amazing.  The timeless and classy outdoor wedding ceremony was in beautiful St. Alaban’s and the reception was in a tent at the same location.  We had such a great time at this wedding!

david & kristen : october 18, 2009

This past Sunday we photographed the most beautiful wedding; the Roseland-Gladney wedding.  The Roseland family has been a major part of my life and who I am today; Randy & Lynette are like second parents to me.  Our families would vacation together and have family game nights together and the one thing that was always a constant when we were all together was laughter; lots and lots of laughter.  With that being said, this wedding was extremely near and dear to my heart.  It was so awesome to see an entire family be just as excited, if not more, as the bride for this big day.  And then to see that the Gladney family was the exact same way about David was truly amazing!  The outdoor wedding scene was not only absolutly beautiful, but so was the actual ceremony.  David and Kristen have centered their lives around worship and wanted that to be the main element in their wedding ceremony.  The worship portion of the ceremony was just amazing…not a dry eye in the crowd!

David and Kristen; it was an absolute honor to be apart of your special day.  The two of you are going to have the most amazing and beautiful marriage, I already know it.  You both were amazing  as individuals, but now as a couple, you two will be spectacular!  I am so excited to see where your lives are going to take you!  Thank you for letting all of us share in this special moment in your lives!

Today I had a wonderful engagement session with the fabulous duo which is Aimee & Armen!  Going into this session I knew I was going to laughing the entire time and that is just what happened.  We had a blast!  I can’t wait to photograph this wedding in March.

[candice & tim : october 10, 2009]

This past weekend I traveled up to St. Louis to photograph the very beautiful and fun ‘St. Louis style’ wedding of Candice and Tim!  For those who don’t know what a St. Louis style wedding is; here is your explanation.  The ceremony is usually early in the day (2pm) and the reception is not until the evening (7pm).  In those 5 hours in between the entire wedding party goes to various locations for photography!  Talk about a wedding photographer’s dream!  After their ceremony; which by far was one of the most memorable ceremonies I have photographed (Tim’s cell phone went off in his pocket!) we headed out for our fun photography adventure.  Our first stop was over to Candice’s uncle’s farm which has been converted into a giant pumpkin patch for the fall season.  And just as the sun was starting to set we headed over to a park with a great old farm house…the lighting was simply perfect!  After this stop it was time to head over to the fun-filled reception.  The reception hall was decorated beautifully, the cakes were amazing, the food was scrumptious and the dj did a great job keeping the party going.

Candice & Tim; thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your special day…it was truly an honor and I had a blast!
